About this course
Bangladesh Affairs rewards candidates who can quote **numbers**: the length of a border, the share of RMG in exports, the poverty rate, the year of a megaproject. This course gathers the geography, resources, population and economic data that BCS, bank and other government exams ask for, and explains what the numbers mean. The twenty lessons move from physical geography — location, landforms, rivers, climate, forests and minerals — to people and the economy: population and demography, agriculture, fisheries, industry, services, trade, remittance, banking, the budget, planning frameworks, poverty and social protection, human development, LDC graduation, climate change and the development model as a whole. Statistics change every year. The figures here reflect recent official data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), Bangladesh Bank, the Bangladesh Economic Review and the Ministry of Finance. **Always update them from the latest Bangladesh Economic Review and budget before your exam.**
