10+ years of experience practicing corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on M&A and strategic transactions; experience at a top-tier law firm and in-house experience at a public company are both required.Degree from top-tier law school. Member of the California bar (or Registered In-House Counsel) in good standing.Rock solid foundation working on corporate and securities matters; must have experience with the strategy, negotiation and process management underpinning complex buy and sell side M&A and related transactions (mergers, asset purchases, spinouts, JVs, partnerships and acqui-hires) as well as financing transactions; experience in cross-border M&A and integration strategy and process are required.Demonstrated success in leading, managing, and developing an in-house M&A legal team.Resourceful self-starter with excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Adept at thinking creatively (and strategically!) on your feet; proven ability to manage complex workloads, multiple stakeholder demands and ever-shifting priorities all while instilling confidence.Executive presence given the regular interactions with senior management and Boards of Directors.Sense of humor, positive attitude, low ego, and a willingness to dive into new areas.
