System Engineer

Currently we are searching System Engineer for this team.

• Monitor SMS, voice, and omnichannel traffic in real time delivery rate, bind status, error rates, and system availability.
• Analyze SMS delivery reports, SMPP statuses, HTTP responses, and delivery failures.
• Perform SMS testing, sender ID validation and delivery report analysis.
• Manage routing failover and rerouting during carrier outages.
• Monitor omnichannel services such as WhatsApp, Viber, Voice, email, and other messaging channels, including API connectivity, delivery events, and failover.
• Knowledge of SMPP error codes, delivery statuses, retry mechanisms, routing logic, message queues, and channel failover.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, vendors, internal technical teams, and management during incidents and planned
• Participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation for service back up through roster duty.
• Familiarity with Alaris platform will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and vendor-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize incidents, and make responsible operational decisions during service disruptions.
• Understanding of SMS concepts such as MO, MT, DLR, sender ID, short code, long code, concatenated SMS, Unicode, encoding, and message validity period will be considered a strong advantage.
• Candidate have to work on rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, in a 24×7 NOC environment.
• Troubleshoot SMPP and HTTP API connectivity using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Postman, cURL, Telnet, and network monitoring platforms will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of SMPP 3.4, HTTP/REST APIs, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network routing will be considered a strong advantage.

Training and Development

The selected candidate will receive three months of hands-on training on our SMS switch, omnichannel platform, monitoring systems, traffic-routing processes, carrier management, troubleshooting procedures, and other operational systems.
