Staff Product Engineer (Full-Stack, TypeScript) at Emergent Software | chakrie

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including time as a Staff, Principal, or equivalent technical leader.

Strong database fundamentals: schema design, transactions, locking, query performance, and data integrity.
A track record of designing and supporting business-critical systems such as workflows, integrations, financial transactions, or sensitive data.
Experience making major architecture decisions and clearly explaining the trade-offs.
Experience scaling a product as customers, markets, and requirements expand.
Solid grounding in reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
A thoughtful approach to AI tools that boosts productivity without sacrificing ownership, oversight, or quality.
Comfort operating with high autonomy and ownership outside a traditional Agile or Scrum framework.
Event-driven, asynchronous, or workflow-heavy systems (Kafka, Temporal, Inngest, or similar)
Scaling software across multiple markets or jurisdictions
Regulated or compliance-focused environments
Helping an organization move from outsourced engineering to a strong in-house team
Building internal platforms or developer productivity tooling
