Collect fabric and yarn requirements from Merchandising and Product Development teams.
Request, compare, and evaluate supplier quotations and lead negotiations within defined limits.
Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (PO) and maintain accurate documentation.
Follow up with suppliers for sample yardages, bulk yardages, lab dips, and approvals.
Maintain strong professional communication with fabric and yarn mills and suppliers.
Track and monitor supplier performance regarding quality, lead time, and service compliance / capacity management.
Assist in onboarding new fabric, yarn, and accessories/trims suppliers when needed.
Strong knowledge of fabric types (Woven/Denim), and yarn types (Sweater) construction and manufacturing processes.
Update fabric, yarn, and accessories/trims status reports and highlight risks or delays proactively.
Coordinate with QC, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth inbound process.
Maintain accurate records in ERP/Excel including PO details, delivery status, cost breakdowns, and approvals.
Prepare weekly/monthly fabric and yarn supply reports for internal review.
Support system updates (ERP/SCM) related to fabric and yarn purchase and stock.
Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, Commercial, QC, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless workflow.
Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities adhere to company SOPs and compliance standards.
Assist in cost analysis and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
Co-ordinate with Design team for new fabric and yarn sourcing.
Co-ordinate with Compliance team for supplier sustainable initiative.
