Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English / Business Administration / Social Science / Law / HRM / Public Administration or any relevant discipline from any reputed Public or Private University.
Master’s degree in English will get preference.
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law & Labour Rules and international labour standards.
Good understanding of BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, CTPAT, ILO, Code of Conduct and buyer compliance requirements.
Strong report writing, documentation and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with workers, management, auditors and buyers.
Should be well-groomed, smart, energetic and proactive.
Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Excellent presentation and training delivery skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
Good command of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3–6 years of relevant experience in Social Compliance / HR & Compliance / Factory Compliance in the Garments/Textile industry.
Candidates having experience in International Buyer Compliance and Third-Party Audit Management will get preference.
Experience in Garments (Knit), Textile, Group of Companies, Buying House / Liaison Office will be an advantage.
Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Social & Environmental Compliance systems and procedures.
Monitor compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law, Labour Rules, ILO Conventions, buyer requirements, and company policies.
Coordinate and prepare the factory for social, ethical, environmental, health & safety, and security audits.
Handle buyer and third-party audits such as BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, CTPAT, Higg/FSLM and other customer-specific compliance requirements.
Review audit findings, prepare Corrective Action Plans (CAPA) and ensure timely implementation and closure of corrective actions.
Conduct regular internal compliance inspections and identify potential risks, non-conformities and areas for improvement.
Maintain and update all required compliance records, registers, policies, procedures, SOPs and legal documents.
Ensure proper implementation of worker welfare, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, working hours, wages & benefits, leave, recruitment and termination practices.
Monitor Occupational Health & Safety, emergency preparedness, fire safety, PPE, first aid and workplace safety requirements.
Coordinate with HR, Admin, Welfare, EHS, Production, Security and other departments to ensure compliance requirements are effectively implemented.
Conduct worker awareness and training programs on Code of Conduct, workplace rights, grievance mechanisms, health & safety, harassment prevention and other compliance matters.
Ensure proper maintenance and verification of labour law-related documents, licenses, certificates and statutory records.
Support management in developing and updating Compliance Policies, SOPs, Manuals and Management Systems.
Monitor worker welfare facilities including canteen, medical, drinking water, sanitation, childcare, rest facilities and welfare activities.
Assist in handling worker grievances, complaints, disciplinary issues and compliance-related investigations.
Prepare regular Compliance Reports, Management Review Reports, CAPA status reports and audit readiness reports for management.
Maintain effective communication with buyers, auditors, consultants and external stakeholders regarding compliance matters.
Keep updated with changes in Bangladesh Labour Law, Labour Rules, buyer standards, international labour standards and sustainability requirements.
Identify compliance risks proactively and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
Ensure continuous improvement of the factory’s overall Social Compliance & Ethical Compliance performance.
