Job Context: We are looking for experienced and technically capable Solar Urban Project Engineers to join our solar project execution team. The selected candidates will be responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and executing solar PV projects in urban and commercial environments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the execution of 1 MW–10 MW grid-connected solar PV projects, including installation, testing, commissioning, electrical works, contractor coordination, quality control, safety, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day execution of solar PV projects ranging from 1 MW to 10 MW.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Review and interpret electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), layout drawings, cable schedules, equipment specifications, and technical documents.
• Supervise installation of solar PV modules, mounting structures, DC/AC cabling, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and related equipment.
• Ensure installation work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, method statements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical activities at project sites.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues, installation defects, and quality concerns.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for PV systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and associated electrical equipment.
• Supervise DC and AC cable termination, insulation testing, continuity testing, polarity checks, grounding/earthing, and other relevant electrical tests.
• Ensure proper installation and testing of earthing, lightning protection, surge protection, and electrical safety systems.
• Coordinate with utility/grid authorities and relevant stakeholders during project execution and commissioning, where applicable.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Review contractor and subcontractor work progress and verify completed quantities.
• Assist with material planning, material inspection, inventory control, and site logistics.
• Ensure materials and equipment received at site comply with approved technical specifications.
• Monitor project quality and ensure compliance with applicable electrical, solar PV, safety, and engineering standards.
• Ensure proper implementation of HSE requirements at project sites.
• Identify project risks, delays, technical challenges, and resource requirements and report them to management.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings, test reports, commissioning reports, and project handover documentation.
• Support troubleshooting of operational and installation-related problems during commissioning and initial operation.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to solar technicians and installation teams.
• Perform other project-related engineering responsibilities assigned by management.
