About the role

We're a cybersecurity firm working with companies across Africa and the Middle East. We're good at the work. We're not great at telling people about it yet. That's where you come in.

You'll own our presence on LinkedIn and X, working directly with our growth lead. The goal is simple: when someone in our industry is thinking about who to hire, they've already seen our name.

You don't need a security background. You need to write well, stay consistent, and be curious enough to ask the team good questions about what they're working on.

This is an unpaid 3 month internship. We're upfront about that. What we offer instead is real published work with your name on it, direct mentorship, and a genuine shot at a paid role at the end if it goes well.

What success looks like

In your first month, you'll have a content calendar running and posts going out on schedule without anyone chasing you.

By month three, we should see engagement coming from the right people. Not vanity follower counts, but decision makers at companies in our target markets commenting, sharing and connecting. Ideally a few inbound conversations that started because someone saw a post.

The real measure: our founder spends less time on social and gets more out of it.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain a weekly content calendar across LinkedIn, X and any other channel we decide to test
• Write and schedule posts that turn our team's work into something clear and readable
• Repurpose blog posts, case studies and research into short-form content, carousels and threads
• Design simple post visuals using Canva or similar (no design degree needed, but your work should look clean)
• Monitor comments, DMs and mentions, and respond or route them to the right person same day
• Track what's working: reach, engagement, profile visits, inbound conversations. Report monthly with what you'd change
• Follow relevant conversations in our industry so we can join them early
• Turn team activity (talks, certifications, milestones) into content
• Watch what competitors are publishing and flag gaps we should own
