Senior Video Conferencing Engineer

• You've lived in real-time media. Years of it: WebRTC, codecs, the media server and its tricks, why a call holds together on one network and falls apart on another. You know the caveats because you've hit them. And the brand names sit on the same ideas underneath, so where you learned it matters less to us than that you did.
• You reach for data. When something's off, you measure before you theorise. You've built or leaned on telemetry to find what's going on in a messy real-time system.
• You lift the people around you. You do it without needing a manager's title. You flag the caveat before someone hits it, steer a design away from a wrong turn, and people trust your read on a hard call.

Logistics

Location: Remote in Europe, or hybrid from our Copenhagen office.

Employment type: Full-time preferred. We're also open to a project-based contract scoped to delivering the native protocol implementations.

Why Airtame:

• A harder problem than a cloud shop's. Our real-time media has to hold up across a spread of devices in meeting rooms, on networks we don't control. Different constraints than a uniform server fleet, and more of them.
• Room to set the bar. You'd be the first deep specialist Airtame's had on conferencing quality, so how it's measured and judged is still open for you to shape.
• A healthy work-life balance.
• Significant responsibility and ownership over projects and your field of expertise.
• Five weeks paid vacation and 5 days of extra paid AirtameFlex days.
• Flexible work environment, with a hybrid mindset.
• Pension and private health insurance (on FTE Copenhagen contract).

Airtame is an equal opportunity employer. We have colleagues across the globe, with both in-office and full-time remote workers. This feeds into our international hybrid mindset, with people from 25+ nationalities that make up the Airtame team.

Our work-life cultural balance is key to our success. Our team encompasses our values of trust and open communication to support each other and to collaborate in a fun and collective way.
