Senior React Native Product Engineer, Consumer Alliance (all genders)

The Consumer Alliance drives customer acquisition, conversion optimization, and retention strategies across all HelloFresh and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) brands globally. The alliance is responsible for cross-cutting initiatives that maximize business value through modernized payment processing, dynamic customer activations and reactivations, and organic growth channels like SEO. By leveraging rigorous experimentation, data-driven insights, and continuous backend modernization, we ensure a frictionless, highly optimized funnel that improves conversion rates and sustains long-term growth across all regions.

The Cart & Wallet squad is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to build and evolve the cart, checkout, and wallet experiences across our mobile and web apps. This is where intent turns into revenue: every change you ship is measured directly in conversion, order value, and customer trust, across all HelloFresh Group's brands and markets, for millions of customers every day, globally.

At HelloFresh we are moving away from a model where software developers just execute tickets toward one where product engineers are trusted to own customer problems. A Product Engineer takes a problem, forms a point of view, validates it with customers and data, and ships it using AI as a force multiplier.

• Build and improve the cart, checkout, and wallet flows in our React Native apps, from problem definition through to production and measurement
• Run experiments on high-traffic, revenue-critical surfaces, and use the results to decide what ships next
• Collaborate with engineers across the department and the company to continuously improve the code base, systems, and processes
• Design and develop solutions that can continue to scale
• Support other team members through workshops, pair programming, and code reviews
• Work beyond your specialization when the problem demands it. Your specialization is your anchor, not your boundary.
• Operate what you build. You instrument, monitor, and improve your systems in production. Shipping is the beginning of the learning cycle, not the end.
• Contribute to the app experience, owning the metrics that reflect quality for mobile customers (retention, crash-free sessions, conversion).

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• Hands-on experience working with AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) beyond casual experimentation. You use AI agents every day. You have a practical sense of how the context you provide to AI tools shapes output quality, and how to set boundaries on AI-generated work.
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on work with React Native
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proficiency in building component-based architectures using React.js and Node.js
• Deep understanding of integrating frontend and backend services seamlessly
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, along with solid testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Strong collaboration skills when partnering with engineers and other functional roles, like product management and UX designer.
• You take full ownership. You have a bias to ship. You finish the last twenty percent.
• You have product sense and are opinionated about what should be built and why, and you can back that opinion with data and user evidence.
• Deep mobile engineering expertise, with experience across the app release cycle, test automation, on-device performance and platform UX conventions.
