The Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED), a national NGO dedicated to serving communities in Cox's Bazar, is currently looking for experienced professionals. We invite applications from suitable candidates for the following position for implementing the “General Food Assistance Programme” supported by WFP at Camps of Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar District, up to December 31, 2026.
Job purpose:
The Senior M&E and MIS Officer is responsible for strengthening community participation, accountability, and transparency within the SHED-supported food assistance programme. The role ensures effective two-way communication with affected communities, accurate beneficiary identity management, high-quality data systems, and compliance with donor (WFP) standards. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding, inclusion, and operational integrity at camp and block levels.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the information systems and databases for the GFA programme, using appropriate software applications and tools.
- Ensure the data quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the GFA programme data, by conducting regular data validation, verification, and cleaning.
- Implement data security measures and backup procedures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the GFA programme data.
- Generate and disseminate regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis on the GFA
- programme performance, outcomes, and impact, using various methods such as dashboards, charts, graphs, tables, etc.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the GFA programme staff and partners on data collection, entry, management, and use.
- Train and supervise the data entry staff and ensure their compliance with the data standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with other MIS officers and IT staff within the organization to ensure the alignment and integration of the GFA programme information systems with other systems.
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress, impact, and quality of a project or program, and providing feedback and recommendations to the project or program manager and other stakeholders.

- Responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the project or program, such as conducting program analysis, special studies, and surveys, supporting or leading evaluation teams, managing external evaluation consultants and draft scopes of work, coordinating closely with project staff, partners, and other key stakeholders, overseeing the analysis, interpretation, and tracking of all program data, documenting and disseminating lessons learned, best practices, and other project deliverables.
