Job Context:
A reputed 100% export-oriented sweater manufacturing company is looking for a dynamic, creative, and experienced *Senior Fashion Designer* to join its Design/Product Development team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative sweater designs and seasonal collections in line with international fashion trends, buyer requirements, quality standards, and production feasibility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new sweater designs and seasonal collections according to fashion trends, market requirements, and buyer expectations.
- Create design concepts, sketches, color combinations, trim concepts, and garment details.
- Develop and follow up on samples, prototypes, fit samples, and design developments.
- Select appropriate yarns, stitches, textures, colors, techniques, and finishing effects for sweater products.
- Develop innovative sweater designs considering commercial viability, quality, cost, and production feasibility.
- Coordinate closely with Knitting, Linking, Washing, and Production teams during product development and production.
- Prepare and maintain accurate tech packs, measurement charts, specifications, and other design-related documents.
- Review samples and provide necessary comments, corrections, and technical/design instructions.
- Coordinate with the Merchandising team and buyers regarding design development, sample comments, modifications, and approvals.
- Ensure designs are developed according to buyer requirements and approved specifications.
- Support the production team in resolving design, construction, and technical issues.
- Monitor the development process to ensure timely completion of samples and approvals.
- Research current fashion trends, colors, silhouettes, yarns, stitches, textures, and market developments relevant to sweater products.
- Ensure all designs meet required standards of *quality, appearance, cost, and production feasibility.
