Manage and follow up on all Import and Export activities of the company.
Handle all activities related to Letter of Credit (LC) for import and export transactions.
Coordinate with banks regarding LC Opening, LC Amendment, LCAF, Payment, Bank Endorsement, and other import-related documentation.
Manage and ensure timely renewal of IRC (Import Registration Certificate) and, where applicable, ERC (Export Registration Certificate).
Coordinate closely with C&F Agents to ensure timely and smooth customs clearance of imported goods.
Liaise with Customs, Port Authorities, Airport Cargo Authorities, ICD, and other relevant government and private organizations.
Review and maintain import/export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Air Waybill (AWB), Certificate of Origin, Insurance Documents, LC Documents, and Shipping Documents.
Verify appropriate HS Codes, Customs Duty, VAT, Taxes, and other applicable charges.
Communicate regularly with foreign Suppliers and Manufacturers regarding shipment schedules, shipping documents, payment status, and delivery timelines.
Coordinate with Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Airline Cargo Agents, and Logistics Providers.
Monitor ETD, ETA, Vessel/Air Shipment Status, and overall shipment progress.
Ensure timely customs clearance and final delivery of imported goods to the company’s warehouse, office, or designated location.
Follow up on Customs Assessment, Duty Payment, Bill of Entry, and Clearance Documentation.
Review PI (Proforma Invoice), Purchase Order, Commercial Invoice, and other import/export documents.
Prepare and process necessary commercial and banking documents for supplier payments.
Maintain proper filing, records, documentation, and databases for all import/export transactions.
Prepare calculations and reports on Import Cost, Freight Cost, Customs Duty, C&F Charges, and Total Landing Cost.
Ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations of Bangladesh Bank, Customs, CCI&E, NBR, and other relevant regulatory authorities.
Prepare regular reports on Import, Export, Shipment, Clearance, and Delivery Status for management.
Identify and resolve shipment, customs, documentation, banking, or logistics-related issues promptly.
Perform any other duties related to Import, Export, Commercial, and Logistics activities assigned by management.
