Senior Executive- Accounts & Finance

Job Context:

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring proper compliance with applicable VAT and Income Tax laws, rules and regulations, and relevant accounting standards. The role will focus on maintaining accurate and complete books of accounts, supporting the preparation of financial statements, ensuring timely reconciliation and documentation of financial transactions, and assisting in maintaining effective financial controls in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Record, verify, and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries, vouchers, ledgers, receipts, payments, and other financial records accurately and timely.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable BAS/BFRS/IFRS/IAS and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper classification, documentation, and reconciliation of accounting transactions and balances.
• Assist in maintaining fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and other supporting financial schedules.

Tax, VAT & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure proper compliance with applicable Income Tax and VAT laws, rules, and regulations, including withholding tax (TDS/VDS) requirements.
• Prepare necessary schedules, statements, challans, and supporting documents for tax and VAT-related submissions and compliance activities.
• Maintain proper tax and VAT records and coordinate with concerned personnel, consultants, and authorities as required.

Reconciliation & Financial Control

• Perform regular bank, customer, vendor, inter-company, and other account reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure day-to-day financial transactions are processed in accordance with approved accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.
• Maintain proper supporting documents and records to ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.

Audit & Management Support

• Prepare schedules, vouchers, reconciliations, and supporting documents for statutory, internal, tax, and other audits.
• Assist in responding to audit queries and resolving audit observations in coordination with the concerned departments.
• Assist in preparing management reports, financial analysis, budget variance reports, and other financial information as required.

ERP & Departmental Coordination

• Maintain accounting records and perform relevant transactions through ERP/accounting software and generate required financial reports.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Commercial, Operations, Administration, and other relevant departments regarding invoices, payments, documentation, and accounting matters.
• Perform any other Accounts & Finance-related responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
