Senior Assistant Engineer - Business Analyst

Job Purpose & Context

The Business Analyst is responsible for translating business needs into effective technology solutions by analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and defining clear functional and non-functional requirements. The role operates in a cross-functional environment, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that solutions align with organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives. The position typically supports complex, enterprise-level initiatives with high business impact.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, and system requirements.
• Lead requirements elicitation activities, including workshops, interviews, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Analyze and document current-state (“as-is”) and future-state (“to-be”) business processes.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRD), functional requirement specifications (FRS), use cases, and user stories.
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional and non-functional specifications for technical teams.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet business objectives, requirements, and constraints.
• Develop process models, diagrams, and supporting documentation and assist with test planning, UAT, and validation of deliverables.
• Facilitate communication and act as a key liaison among business units, technical teams, support teams, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and management recommendations, while supporting junior members and staying updated with industry trends and BA best practices.
