Senior Accountant - Accounts, VAT & Tax

INDEX Laboratories (Ayu) Ltd. is seeking a qualified and experienced accounting professional to manage day-to-day accounts, financial reporting, VAT, tax and audit-related activities. The candidate must be capable of independently maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely regulatory compliance.

• Maintain books of accounts, general ledger, vouchers, cash book and bank records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
• Prepare and submit applicable VAT returns, maintain VAT registers and manage relevant documentation.
• Calculate and process Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and VAT Deducted at Source (VDS), including deposits, challans, certificates and related records.
• Prepare corporate income tax workings, annual return documentation and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with tax advisers, auditors and relevant authorities regarding assessments, queries and compliance matters.
• Reconcile bank accounts, customer and supplier balances, receivables and payables.
• Manage payroll accounting and applicable tax deductions.
• Maintain inventory and production cost records; analyse product costs and stock discrepancies.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.
• Support budgeting, cash flow planning, expense control and management reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Maintain proper documentation, confidentiality and internal financial controls.
