Regional Sales Manager- RSM

Routine/Regular Job:

• Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

• Drive push sales activities through distributors, dealers, retailers, wholesalers, and sales teams.

• Ensure maximum product availability and visibility across the assigned territory.

• Lead, supervise, and motivate ASMs, TSMs, Sales Officers, and other field sales personnel.

• Set sales targets for territories and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance.

• Conduct regular market visits and fieldwork to identify sales opportunities and ensure proper execution.

• Expand distribution networks by appointing new distributors, dealers, and retail outlets.

• Increase numeric distribution, outlet coverage, product penetration, and sales volume.

• Monitor competitors` pricing, promotions, product availability, and market activities.

• Develop strong relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and key customers.

• Ensure proper implementation of company promotions, trade offers, visibility campaigns, and merchandising activities.

• Analyze regional sales reports and take corrective actions to improve underperforming territories.

• Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain healthy distributor/dealer relationships.

• Conduct regular field meetings and provide coaching and on-the-job training to the sales team.

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant teams to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.

• Prepare and submit regular sales, market visit, competitor, and achievement reports.

• Take immediate action to resolve market, distributor, customer, and sales-team-related issues.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, sales procedures, and reporting requirements.

• Strong ability to push sales and achieve challenging targets.

• Willingness to spend significant time in the field and travel extensively within the assigned region.

• Strong capability in market development, outlet expansion, route coverage, and product penetration.

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within strict deadlines.

• Must be energetic, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced field-sales environment.

• Physically fit and capable of regular market visits, extensive walking, and frequent travel.
