Product Manager - HONOR TV (Sony Smart)

Job Summary

Smart Technologies (BD) Limited is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Product Manager – HONOR TV to lead the product management, business development, sales planning, and marketing activities of the HONOR TV business in Bangladesh.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing the overall TV product strategy, managing the product portfolio, coordinating product launches, driving sales and profitability, monitoring market trends and competitors, and working closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and the HONOR team to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Business Management

• Develop and execute the overall HONOR TV product strategy in line with company and brand objectives.
• Manage the complete TV product portfolio, including product selection, assortment, positioning and lifecycle management.
• Conduct regular market research to identify consumer trends, market opportunities and emerging technologies.
• Analyze competitors' products, specifications, pricing, promotions and market activities.
• Recommend appropriate product mix, pricing, positioning and promotional strategies based on market dynamics.
• Develop monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans and ensure achievement of business targets.
• Prepare sales forecasts and coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure appropriate inventory availability.
• Monitor product-wise sales, stock, sell-through, gross margin and profitability.

Product Launch & Marketing

• Lead planning and execution of new HONOR TV product launches in Bangladesh.
• Develop product launch plans, key selling propositions, product communication and sales tools.
• Coordinate with the HONOR Marketing team for ATL, BTL, digital, retail and trade marketing activities.
• Ensure proper product visibility, merchandising and brand presentation across showrooms and sales channels.
• Develop promotional campaigns and tactical activities to accelerate product sales.
• Work with the sales team to develop effective product-specific sales strategies and schemes.

Sales & Channel Development

• Work closely with the Sales team to achieve TV sales and revenue targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop appropriate distribution/channel strategies.
• Support dealer and showroom teams with product knowledge, pricing, promotional schemes and sales arguments.
• Conduct regular market visits to understand retail execution, competitor activities and customer feedback.
• Develop strategies to improve product sell-through and reduce slow-moving inventory.
• Maintain strong relationships with key channel partners and stakeholders.

Product Training & Sales Support

• Develop and conduct regular product training programs for sales teams, dealers and showroom personnel.
• Ensure sales teams have updated knowledge of product features, technology, USP and competitive advantages.
• Prepare product comparison, feature-benefit analysis, sales presentations and other product-related materials.
• Collect market and consumer feedback and communicate relevant insights to the management and brand principal.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor and analyze product-wise sales, stock, sell-in, sell-through, ASP, GP and market performance.
• Prepare regular business performance reports and management presentations.
• Track achievement against sales and profitability targets and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor promotional effectiveness and calculate campaign/product ROI where applicable.
• Provide management with regular updates on market trends, competitor activities and business opportunities.
