Payroll Banking - Business Development Manager

Job Grade : Junior Officer to JAVP

To acquire and develop corporate payroll relationships by identifying prospective organizations, onboarding new payroll accounts, and driving business growth through salary disbursement solutions and relevant banking products. The role will be responsible for building strong relationships with corporate clients, ensuring successful payroll implementation, deepening employee relationships, and achieving assigned business and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Corporate Acquisition & Onboarding

• Identify, prospect and acquire new corporate organizations for Payroll Banking relationships
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers of corporate clients to facilitate successful onboarding and business growth
• Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and onboarding of new payroll relationships

2.    Low-cost Deposit and Business Growth

• Drive growth of CASA and other low-cost deposits through acquisition and effective management of Payroll Banking relationships
• Achieve assigned business targets through development of new corporate relationships and deepening of existing relationships
• Identify opportunities to increase the number of payroll customer thus growing Bank's share within payroll organizations

3.    Cross-Selling

• Identify and promote relevant retail banking products including deposits, loans, cards, bancassurance and digital banking solutions       
• Develop effective employee engagement initiatives to maximize product penetration and cross-selling opportunities

4.    Relationship & Portfolio Management

• Maintain strong relationships with corporate payroll clients and ensure continued engagement and retention
• Monitor the performance and potential of the payroll portfolio and identify opportunities for further business development.
• Address client requirements and coordinate with relevant units to ensure timely resolution of issues

5.    Market Development & Business Intelligence

• Identify new market segments, industries and corporate opportunities for Payroll Banking acquisition
• Maintain knowledge of competitor offerings and market developments to strengthen the Bank's Payroll Banking proposition

6.    Campaign & Stakeholder Management

• Plan and execute corporate and employee engagement campaigns in coordination with the Head of Payroll Banking and relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with Branches and other business units to generate referrals and maximize business opportunities from payroll relationships
• Prepare and submit timely business reports, pipeline updates and MIS as required.

7.    Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure all Payroll Banking acquisition and relationship activities comply with Bank policies, KYC/AML requirements and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to approved processes during corporate onboarding and subsequent relationship management.
• Promptly escalate compliance, operational or relationship-related risks and issues to the appropriate authority.
