Proven experience as a Pattern Grader within a garment manufacturing environment, with a track record of grading accurate, production-ready patterns across full size ranges.
Strong garment construction knowledge across woven and knitwear categories, understanding how grading decisions affect fit, drape and finished garment shape.
Skilled in measurement analysis, able to read, interpret, and apply buyer size charts, grading rules and technical packs with precision.
Confident working across multiple size charts and grading increments, adapting rules accurately to different buyers and markets.
Exceptional attention to detail, consistently catching measurement or proportion errors before they reach production.
Hands-on expert proficiency in Gerber AccuMark (or equivalent CAD grading software) for grading, digitising and managing pattern files efficiently.
Ability to work accurately and at pace under production deadlines, managing multiple styles and buyers simultaneously.
Fluency in English and Bengali
Clear communicator, comfortable liaising with UK based design & Technical team, Pattern makers and Merchandisers to resolve grading queries.
Grade garment patterns accurately from base size across the full size range delivering complete, production-ready size sets for every style
Apply grading rules and measurement increments precisely against buyer size charts, ensuring every graded size meets contractual tolerances first time
Audit pattern measurements after grading to catch and correct discrepancies before they reach sampling or cutting, protecting quality and schedule
Preserve correct proportion, shape, balance, and fit across every size in the range, so garments perform consistently from smallest to largest size
Grade every pattern component - front, back, sleeve, collar, cuff, pocket, waistband, embellishment placement, and more in order to produce a complete, manufacturing-ready pattern set
Translate buyer and customer specifications, measurement charts, and technical packs into accurate graded patterns that meet customer expectations and reduce rejections.
Partner with pattern makers, merchandisers, and technical teams to resolve grading queries quickly, keeping styles moving through development without delay.
Identify and resolve grading errors or inconsistencies before they escalate, minimising costly rework and quality claims downstream.
Prepare and finalise graded patterns for production, enabling smooth, on-time handover to marker making and cutting.
Escalate grading issues to the UK team with clear, well-reasoned rule proposals, driving fast decisions and consistent grading standards across the business.
Check seam allowance, notches, grain lines, drill holes, and other critical details, ensuring every pattern is error-free and manufacturing ready.
Ensure patterns are optimised for marker making and bulk production, directly supporting efficient fabric utilization and smooth factory execution.
Maintain accurate records and version control of all patterns, ensuring the correct, current version is always in use and fully traceable.
Support fitting sessions and sample corrections with technical input that improves fit outcomes and reduces sample iterations.
Deliver graded patterns that consistently meet quality, measurement, and production standards, safeguarding Pentex’s reputation for reliable product.
Complete all grading work within agreed production schedules, keeping styles on track for on-time delivery.
