Safety Professional Certificate is mandatory, NEBOSH/OSHA/IOSH or relevant Safety certificate
Preferred Professional Certification: Must have professional trainings on health and safety
Training/Trade Course: Health and Safety Training
Minimum 3 years of work experience in any recognized, or industry-based OHS service.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
Ability to conduct site safety inspections and identify hazards.
Knowledge of PPE, permit-to-work systems, emergency procedures, and risk assessment.
Ability to prepare safety reports and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
Solid knowledge of local laws and ordinances on fire safety and prevention, loss control, hazardous chemicals, building, electrical, noise pollution and the environment
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Up-to-date knowledge on latest local and state regulation and guideline changes
Navy Retired person will prepare
Ship Breaking Yard working experience person will be preferred

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Occupational Health & Safety officer to join our growing team. In this position, the officer will play a key role in ensuring that all projects comply with government & company health and safety guidelines and procedures. The officer will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of all employees, make sure all projects are up to code, and provide advice and recommendations for safety improvements.
