Graduate in Textile Manufacturing or Apparel Merchandising from a well-reputed institution
At least 5 years merchandising experience, preferably in a reputed buying office in Woven (Bottoms) category.
Must have extensive experience of product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of small/large volume orders, and various styles orders independently.
Must be knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, specifically Woven fabric properties & wash techniques.
Technical Job Requirements
Profound knowledge of Woven garment engineering and production processes is required.
Have sound knowledge of fabrics and an excellent network of fabric & trims suppliers.
Should have excellent understanding of technical / production process.
Should have a passion for product development, an eye for styles/details and fits.
Should be able to handle MIS entries.
Must be capable of handling buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitude.
Must have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and procedures.
Good understanding of core business aspects
Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials booking and delivery.

Job Context: The Merchandiser (Woven) holds the accountability for managing the customer accounts from product development and sampling stage till shipment and payment realization, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and timely delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
Independently manage the end-to-end merchandising process for woven bottoms from product development to bulk production readiness.
Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely sample development, approvals, and execution.
Prepare product costing, negotiate prices, and source fabrics, trims, and accessories as per customer requirements.
Review tech packs, monitor sample development, and ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and fit requirements.
Maintain and monitor Time & Action (T&A) plans to achieve on-time development milestones and bulk handover.
Collaborate with technical, QA, and production teams to resolve development issues and ensure smooth bulk production.
Build strong relationships with buyers and suppliers while identifying process improvements to enhance quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
