Merchandiser - Marketing & Merchandising

Key Responsibilities:

Buyer Communication

• Maintain regular communication with international buyers on product requirements, specifications, and quality standards
• Handle buyer queries related to samples, pricing, lead time, order status, and approvals
• Coordinate sample development and approvals (proto, fit, PP, size set, TOP)
• Update buyers on production progress and resolve issues or delays promptly
• Build strong professional relationships to ensure repeat business

Costing & Price Negotiation

• Prepare detailed garment costing sheets (fabric, trims, accessories, CM, printing, washing, overheads)
• Analyze consumption, material prices, and labor costs for competitive, profitable pricing
• Negotiate cost and price with buyers to secure orders with optimal margins
• Coordinate with commercial and finance teams on L/C requirements and payment terms

Supplier & Factory Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers for fabric, trims, accessories, and raw materials
• Verify lab dips, strike-offs, bulk fabric quality, and sample approvals
• Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality, and compliance
• Coordinate with planning, production, QC, sewing, cutting, printing, and finishing teams

Product Development

• Collaborate with buyers on design inspirations, technical requirements, and fabric choices
• Support new style creation and cost-effective product improvements
• Oversee prototype creation, fit corrections, and design adjustments
• Research market trends and new materials to support innovation

Order Management & Execution

• Create and maintain Time & Action (T&A) calendars
• Manage order confirmation, documentation, approvals, and production follow-up
• Resolve issues related to raw materials, trims, delays, or quality defects
• Ensure on-time shipment through coordinated logistics, packaging, and inspection
