Responsibilities & Context

Conduct rounds with consultants and manage post-round tasks, including follow-ups on investigations.
Perform morning and evening follow-ups on patients prior to consultant rounds.
Report to the Coordinator on clinical and administrative issues.
Assess and admit patients independently after consulting with senior staff.
Complete a thorough review of patient history and physical examination within the first 24hours of admission.
Continuously monitor patient progress, adjust management plans, and handle medical emergencies in coordination with the consultant.
Ensure compliance with hospital practices to maintain the safest environment for patients and staff.
Attend clinical meetings and workshops, and actively participate in presentations.
Participate in hospital training programs and pursue ongoing knowledge and skill development.
For New Admissions: Review patient history, lab results, and current medications prior to the consultant's visit.
For Referral Patients: Manage referred patients under consultant supervision.
For Discharges: Ensure accuracy of discharge summaries, including diagnoses and medications, under consultant oversight.
General: Assist in patient counseling under consultant supervision.
