Marketing Manager (E-commerce Brand Portfolio)

We are an e-commerce group running a portfolio of direct-to-consumer brands on Shopify. We are hiring a Marketing Manager to work directly with the founder and take ownership of marketing across the portfolio. You can see more about how we operate at runeperformance.ai.

This is a full-time, long-term role, not a short project. We would rather invest in one smart, fast-learning person over several years than cycle through freelancers. There is a short paid test task before hiring so both sides know it is a good fit, then a settling-in period where you are trained properly on our tools and process.

OUR SETUP

We run AI-powered systems across reporting, research and campaign build. In practice that means less time on admin busywork and more time on decisions. We like people who enjoy understanding how a system works and making it work better, even if you have never used the specific tools before.

To be clear about what this role is: we need a fast learner. People with real experience in Meta Ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo, Shopify or AI tools are genuinely welcome and it will fast-track you, but it is not a requirement. We are just as happy to find someone sharp with no experience yet and train them properly. What matters is that you are detail-oriented, pick things up fast, and can figure things out with minimal hand-holding once shown.

Strong written English is required. A lot of this role is writing: reports, briefs, and messages to the team and to us. If your written English is weak, this is not the right role, regardless of your marketing skills.

WHAT WE CARE ABOUT

Everything in this role is performance marketing in service of one thing: profit. We optimise for profit, not ROAS and not revenue. We care about contribution margin, breakeven ROAS, CAC against real product margin, and whether a campaign actually makes money after cost of goods and shipping. That lens is not just for paid media. Creative, email, organic, store work and admin all exist in service of the same thing, real profit for the business, not just activity. You do not need to already understand this. You do need to be the kind of person who wants to.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Paid media

• Help run and optimise Meta and Google Ads campaigns across multiple brands
• Learn to make scale, hold and kill decisions backed by real numbers
• Support the testing roadmap: audiences, offers, landing pages, creative angles
• Help produce a weekly performance report
• Creative
• Help plan creative angles: what to test, what hooks to try, what is working and why
• Work with our graphic designers and video editors: brief the work, review what comes back, keep deadlines
• Keep a consistent pipeline of new creative going into every account

Email and retention

• Build and send Klaviyo campaigns
• Help maintain and improve automated flows, segmentation and list health
• Organic and community
• Manage the brands' social accounts and keep organic posting consistent and on-brand
• Reach out to creators, manage those relationships and coordinate content
• Handle the inbox and respond to inbound brand and partnership enquiries

Store and operations

• Upload and maintain products in Shopify: copy, images, variants, collections
• Keep campaign, product and reporting data accurate
• Administrative
• Keep Trello boards, checklists and task tracking up to date
• Track your hours properly in our time-tracking tool
• Organise documents and files in Google Drive
• Light bookkeeping support: invoices, receipts, expense tracking
• Manage calendar, scheduling and routine email correspondence

Over time

• Take on more ownership of the marketing function as you prove yourself
• Eventually help oversee other team members, including customer support

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Fully remote. We are two hours ahead of Bangladesh, so you work normal Bangladeshi hours with good daily overlap.

Monthly pay depends on your test task performance and experience, with room to grow as you take on more. Standard confidentiality and contractor agreement before starting.
