1. Retail Store Coverage Density (Top Priority)

• Visit major small home appliance sales areas in Dhaka (Nawabpur, Mirpur, Uttara, etc.), plus at least two other major cities (Chattogram, Khulna, or Sylhet).
• In each target area, count: how many stores sell small home appliances, what categories they carry, and whether they stock Chinese-imported products.
• Figure out whether the market is "too few stores, not enough coverage" or "lots of stores, but mostly small shops, and competition is already fierce."
• Build a simple store density table: by area, show roughly how many stores are in each residential area/market and roughly how many product categories each store stocks.

2. Online Shopping Penetration & Delivery Speed

• Talk directly to ordinary consumers (not just young people or techies) about their real experience buying small home appliances online.
• Nail down these numbers: How many have actually bought small home appliances online? On which platforms? How many days did delivery actually take? (Important: ask about actual delivery time, not the platform's promised time.)
• Cross-check existing data to verify whether the online purchase ratio holds true in your research areas.
• Record the problems consumers run into: slow delivery, wrong items, inconvenient cash on delivery, etc.

3. Distributor Hierarchy (Secondary Task)

• Find 15–20 retail stores and ask where they source their goods: directly from importers? Regional wholesalers? Or do they buy on the spot from wholesale markets?
• Estimate how many layers exist from port to consumer and roughly how much markup each layer adds.
• Compare: Is the distribution chain for locally assembled brands (like Walton and Vision) shorter than for purely imported products?
