Responsibilities & Context

Lead and manage end-to-end cutting operations for knit garments production.
Ensure proper fabric relaxation, spreading, and cutting processes.
Monitor marker efficiency and fabric utilization to minimize wastage.
Ensure accurate cutting as per approved marker and buyer specifications.
Supervise numbering, bundling, panel checking, and issue processes.
Coordinate with Planning, IE, Production, and Quality teams for smooth workflow.
Ensure timely cutting input to sewing lines as per production plan.
Monitor cutting KPIs such as cut-to-ship ratio, rejection rate, and productivity.
Identify and resolve cutting-related issues such as shade variation, panel mismatch, and fabric defects.
Ensure proper handling and segregation of fabric rolls and cut panels.
Optimize manpower and machine utilization in cutting.
Ensure preventive maintenance and proper utilization of cutting machines/equipment.
Maintain cutting reports, fabric consumption records, and MIS.
Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and operational SOPs.
Implement lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen) for process improvement.
Ensure workplace discipline, safety, and housekeeping within cutting floor.
