Manager-Assembly Shop

Job Purpose:

Trans Asia Industries Ltd., a renowned automobile manufacturing company in Bangladesh, is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Manager–Assembly Shop. The incumbent will lead and manage Assembly Shop operations by ensuring production targets, product quality, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. The role will be responsible for optimizing assembly processes, manpower utilization, machine performance, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve manufacturing and business objectives.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform line balancing by calculating takt time and distributing workloads across workstations to achieve optimum production efficiency and prevent bottlenecks.
• Analyze assembly defects using root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and other problem-solving techniques, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor machine utilization, operational efficiency, and preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Ensure product quality and effective manpower management.
• Prepare MIS reports, production reports, and other relevant operational documents accurately and timely.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate shop-floor manpower to ensure discipline, productivity, and teamwork.
• Ensure adherence to assembly processes, work instructions, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure smooth assembly operations.
• Monitor daily production targets and take corrective actions to achieve delivery commitments.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Train and develop operators, supervisors, and technicians to improve technical skills and operational performance.

The Candidate Should have experience on:

• Strong knowledge of Assembly Line Operations, Line Balancing, and Takt Time Calculation.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA.
• Strong understanding of production planning, workflow management, and process optimization.
• Ability to monitor machine utilization and preventive maintenance activities.
• Good knowledge of quality standards, inspection procedures, and defect reduction techniques.
• Strong leadership, manpower management, and team-building skills.
• Perform any other duties or assignments as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
