Manager / AGM – HR & Compliance

POSITION OVERVIEW

Avantex Apparels Ltd., a premier Woven Ready-Made Garments (RMG) manufacturing and exporting enterprise, is seeking an executive-level Manager / AGM – HR & Compliance to oversee total human resource operations, worker welfare, and international buyer compliance at its Gazipur facility. The incumbent will lead statutory compliance, drive factory-wide social and environmental standards, manage industrial relations, and successfully navigate rigorous third-party compliance audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE OF DUTIES

• Buyer & Statutory Compliance Audits: Lead end-to-end preparation, execution, and corrective action planning (CAP) for major international buyer and third-party compliance audits including BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, CTPAT, HIGG/FEM, RSC, and OEKO-TEX.

• Bangladesh Labour Law & Statutory Governance: Enforce strict adherence to Bangladesh Labour Law, Bangladesh Labour Rules, factory safety standards, and statutory regulatory requirements.

• Strategic HR & Administrative Operations: Oversee recruitment, attendance, payroll validation, grievance handling, performance management, and day-to-day factory administration.

• Worker Welfare & Industrial Relations: Maintain healthy labor relations, manage Safety Committee operations, handle worker grievances, and promote a safe, ethical working environment.

• Environmental & Social Management: Direct HIGG Index (FEM/FSLM) assessments, environmental sustainability practices, waste management, and chemical safety protocols.

• Security & CTPAT Implementation: Ensure structural, fire, electrical, and supply chain security compliance according to CTPAT and RSC guidelines.

KEY REQUIREMENTS & AUDIT EXPERTISE

• Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Human Resource Management (MHRM), Management, Business Administration (MBA) or relevant discipline.

• Professional Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in HR, Administration, and Compliance specifically within Woven Garments Manufacturing & Exporting.

• Mandatory Audit Expertise: Proven track record in facing and clearing BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, CTPAT, HIGG/FEM, RSC, OEKO-TEX, and brand-specific social/environmental audits.

• Legal & Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Bangladesh Labour Law (BLL), Labour Rules (BLR), EHS standards, and industrial dispute resolution.

• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional crisis management capabilities, negotiation skills, and fluent professional communication in English and Bangla.
