In this full-time internship, you will work hands-on across the entire lifecycle of our vision solutions — from software development and camera calibration at our Munich headquarters to on-site commissioning at customer production sites.</div> </div> <div class="TranslationField-module__fieldItem___g4pRX"> <h3 class="TokenisedTypography-module__EzGiEkH0__v6-3-8 TranslationField-module__fieldItemName___Q0F_7">Your Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Vision Software Development:</strong> Develop, test, and maintain software components for industrial 2D/3D vision systems, including API-based secondary development on top of vision vendor SDKs.</li> <li><strong>Camera Setup & Calibration:</strong> Configure and calibrate 2D area-scan/line-scan cameras and 3D sensors for robotic and AGV applications, performing nine-point, checkerboard, and 3D hand-eye calibrations.</li> <li><strong>Algorithm Debugging:</strong> Support the debugging and tuning of core vision algorithms, from QR-code and natural-contour (V-SLAM) AGV navigation to deep-learning-based detection models.</li> <li><strong>Testing & Automation:</strong> Write Python scripts for automated testing and data-log analysis, and validate vision system performance in the lab and in production-like environments.</li> <li><strong>System Integration:</strong> Configure and troubleshoot data exchange between vision industrial PCs (IPCs) and PLCs, supporting communication via TCP/IP sockets, Modbus TCP, and ROS/ROS2.</li> <li><strong>On-Site Commissioning:</strong> Travel to customer sites to install, commission, fine-tune, and troubleshoot vision systems on real production lines.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Team Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with robotics, software, and application engineers to integrate vision solutions into end-to-end robotic systems.</li> </ul> </div> <div class="TranslationField-module__fieldItem___g4pRX"> <h3 class="TokenisedTypography-module__EzGiEkH0__v6-3-8 TranslationField-module__fieldItemName___Q0F_7">Essential Skills</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Ongoing Bachelor's or Master's studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or a related field (or recently graduated).</li> <li><strong>Camera Hardware & Calibration:</strong> Hands-on experience configuring and calibrating mainstream 2D area-scan/line-scan cameras (e.g.Basler) and 3D sensors (e.g.Intel RealSense, structured-light cameras), including nine-point, checkerboard, and 3D hand-eye calibration.</li> <li><strong>Vision Algorithms:</strong> Understanding of the underlying logic of vision-based AGV navigation — QR-code navigation and natural-contour navigation (V-SLAM) — as well as the deployment of deep-learning-based detection models (e.g.the YOLO series).</li> <li><strong>Programming & Scripting:</strong> Good C++ and Python programming skills, with the ability to make API calls and perform simple secondary development based on vision vendor SDKs; proficient in Python for automated test scripts and data-log processing; comfortable working in Linux (Ubuntu) environments.</li> <li><strong>Industrial Communication:</strong> Ability to configure data exchange between vision IPCs and PLCs;
