Editorial Research & Content Discovery

• Research assigned topics and content areas across Dhaka's events, exhibitions, workshops, openings, places, creators and lifestyle scene, while also identifying potential stories, events, places or ideas for DBM to consider.
• Use social media and other relevant sources to identify upcoming and emerging content opportunities and share useful findings with the editorial team.
• Check key details such as dates, times, locations, prices and participation requirements, and clearly flag information that cannot be confirmed.
• Contact venues, organisers or other sources to confirm information, images or access when required for an assignment.
• Research approved ideas and prepare the information and resources required using DBM's agreed briefs and templates.

Content & Social Media Creation

• Draft clear captions and other brief editorial content for assigned topics.
• Create and adapt static social media content using DBM's templates and brand guidelines.
• Create and edit Reels and other short-form video content, including basic sequencing, text, audio and transitions.
• Create Instagram Stories and other assigned social media content.
• Prepare completed written and visual content for editorial review and apply agreed feedback and revisions.

Event Coverage

• Prepare for and attend selected events, exhibitions, openings and other city activities when assigned.
• Capture the photographs, smartphone video and key information required for the agreed coverage.
• Create assigned written or visual content following the event.
• Share relevant observations or potential follow-up ideas identified during the assignment with the editorial team.
• Progress clearly defined assignments from research through creation and agreed revisions, seeking guidance where needed.
• Complete assigned work by the agreed deadlines and keep track of agreed priorities.
• Communicate early when missing information, access issues or other problems may affect delivery.
• Follow DBM's briefs, templates, brand guidelines and editorial direction, and ask for guidance when requirements or decisions are unclear.
