Key Experience & Qualifications
10–20 years of substantial, hands-on experience in denim fabric sales, marketing, merchandising, or textile business development within Bangladesh’s garment industry.
Strong practical experience sourcing, developing, and supplying denim fabrics from China, including Xintang, as well as India and Pakistan.
Degree in Textile Engineering or a closely related textile discipline, with strong technical knowledge of woven and denim fabrics.
Proven ability to sell other woven fabric categories in addition to a primary specialization in denim.
Established relationships with major buying houses, garment exporters, denim manufacturers, and large local apparel groups in Bangladesh.
Strong commercial communication, negotiation, account-management, and business-development capabilities.
Interview Evaluation Criteria
Denim Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of denim constructions, including ring and open-end yarns, slub effects, cross-hatch effects, multi-count weaves, and appropriate GSM ranges.
Dyeing Knowledge: Practical understanding of indigo, sulfur, sulfur-bottom, and related denim dyeing processes.
Washing & Finishing: Comprehensive knowledge of laser, enzyme, bleach, potassium permanganate, vintage, and distressing processes and their impact on denim performance and appearance.
Supply Chain & Sourcing: Ability to manage mill-to-factory supply chains, logistics, import requirements, customs procedures, and sourcing corridors across China, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
Commercial Network: Demonstrated ability to convert established relationships with buying houses and major export factories into qualified sales opportunities and sustainable business.
Position Overview
Wild Denim LLC operates its own integrated denim mill in Xintang, Guangzhou, China, supported by a strategic operational hub in China and a corporate presence in Dhaka. We are looking for an experienced denim fabric professional to lead fabric sales and marketing across Bangladesh’s garment and apparel industry. The successful candidate should have strong industry credibility, an established network among leading buying houses and garment exporters, and proven expertise in denim sourcing, mill operations, product development, and high-volume fabric sales.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sales and marketing initiatives for premium denim fabric targeting leading apparel exporters, buying houses, brands, and nominated suppliers in Bangladesh.
Utilize Wild’s direct-mill advantage in Xintang, Guangzhou, together with sourcing capabilities in India and Pakistan, to offer competitive pricing, consistent quality, and reliable lead times.
Manage key accounts, conduct senior-level commercial negotiations, and develop long-term relationships with major decision-makers.
Coordinate fabric development, shade matching, washing trials, performance testing, and technical hand-feel evaluations between international mills and local garment manufacturers.
Develop market-penetration plans, monitor competitor mills and market offerings, identify new business opportunities, and deliver agreed sales and revenue targets.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through existing industry relationships and new account development.
