Education

Bachelor's / Honors Degree in any discipline (Engineering/Technical or Science degrees preferred).

Total Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven experience in factory management or plant operations.

Industry Background: Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Oxygen Plant operations. Background in Oxygen Plants, Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), or Light & Heavy Industry.

Technical Knowledge: Deep, practical understanding of Oxygen plant sector/industry dynamics, along with working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.

Oxygen Plant Operations & Maintenance – Deep technical understanding of oxygen processing
and pneumatics.
Production Planning & Scheduling – Proven ability to map workflows
and track KPIs.

Cost Optimization & Budgeting – Expertise in streamlining plant overheads
and implementing cost-effective strategies.

Responsibilities & Context

KR Oxygen Ltd. is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and seasoned Factory Manager to oversee plant operations at our Sitakunda, Chattogram facility. The Factory Manager will hold complete operational leadership, driving strategic plant planning, daily production schedules, workforce management, and inter-departmental workflows. The role is pivotal in ensuring zero-downtime manufacturing, best-in-class safety standards, rigorous compliance with statutory government regulations (including VAT management), and continuous cost optimization across the oxygen manufacturing lifecycle.

Workforce Leadership & Health, Safety, Environment (HSE)

Directly lead and manage factory personnel, including hiring, training, role delegation, and performance evaluations.
Enforce strict adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental (HSE) procedures suitable for industrial gas manufacturing.
Resolve workplace issues or operational conflicts promptly, fostering a safe, motivated, and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Production Planning

Plan, structure, and execute daily factory routines, operational workflow schedules, and long-term production strategies.
Monitor continuous oxygen plant operations to maximize production yield and maintain peak efficiency.
Coordinate closely with maintenance, logistics, quality control, and procurement departments to streamline production processes.
Implement cost-effective production techniques and energy-optimization strategies to minimize operational expenditure.

Maintenance Oversight & Breakdown Reduction

Oversee mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic plant systems to minimize unplanned breakdown time.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules for high-pressure gas cylinders, compressors, separation units, and auxiliary machinery.
Ensure best-in-class operational standards and technical reliability across the entire facility.

Regulatory Liaison & VAT Compliance

Perform and manage day-to-day Value Added Tax (VAT) related activities and documentation for the company.
Maintain thorough documentation and records to support statutory audits and company VAT resolution processes.
Serve as the primary liaison with local government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industrial inspectors.
