Executive, VAT & Tax

The role involves handling Value Added Tax (VAT), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Value Deducted at Source (VDS), and Advance Income Tax (AIT). To maintain accurate documentation, prepare statutory returns, and work closely with Internal Accounts Teams and External Tax Consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Returns & Filings: Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns on time and assist with annual income tax filings and withholding Tax return

• Deductions: Prepare monthly TDS Challan and deposit monthly TDS, VDS, and AIT deductions into the Government Treasury using proper chalan and e-payment systems.

• Record Keeping & Documentation: Organize financial documents, vouchers, and chalan to support internal and external audits. Maintain up-to-date Mushak documentation, purchase/sales invoices, and statutory compliance records.

• Reconciliation: Conduct monthly sales, bank, and general ledger tax balance reconciliations.

• Audits & Liaison: Coordinate with Internal Departments, External Tax Lawyers, and NBR (National Board of Revenue) authorities during tax assessments and audits.

• VAT Management: Prepare and maintain mandatory VAT registers, All Mushak registers (such as Mushak 6.3, 6.1, 6.2.1, 4.3, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.10 for sales invoices and 9.1 for returns) and handle online VAT system submissions and other Registers as per VAT Law. And knowledge on relevant VAT rate.

• Tax Compliance: Assist in computing and processing Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) and VAT Deduction at Source (VDS).

• Liaison: Coordinate with internal Departments and assist in communicating with regulatory Circles or Tax Authorities when needed

• VAT Software: Maintain & Operate VAT Software (NBR Enlisted)

• Any other duties & responsibilities assigned by the Management
