Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Leather Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Technical/Engineering

Experience

2 to 5 years

Additional Requirements

Age 25 to 35 years

Strong knowledge of footwear/material testing requirements.
Understanding of physical, chemical, performance, and restricted substance testing.
Knowledge of customer-specific testing manuals and test protocols.
Familiarity with RSL/MRSL, COC, chemical compliance, sustainability, and traceability requirements.
Strong understanding of third-party laboratory processes and test report interpretation.
Good knowledge of calibration and testing equipment management.
Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills.
Good documentation and SOP-writing capability.

Responsibilities & Context

Manage and coordinate testing activities with approved local and international third-party laboratories
Maintain effective working relationships with laboratories and ensure timely test scheduling and execution.
Negotiate testing costs, service charges, and commercial terms with third-party laboratories.
Maintain calibration schedules, certificates, records, and validity status.
Communicate directly with customers regarding product/material testing requirements where applicable.
Clarify test methods, test standards, sample requirements, testing frequency, and reporting formats.
Follow up with relevant departments and suppliers for timely preparation of test samples.
Verify samples against required specifications before submission to the laboratory.
Prepare and submit Test Request Forms (TRF) accurately according to test requirements.
Ensure correct test method, standard, material description, quantity, color, style, and other required information are included.
Review third-party test reports for accuracy, compliance, and customer requirements.
Analyze test results and identify deviations, failures, or abnormal findings.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure required testing is completed for incoming materials.
Support supply chain traceability requirements in accordance with customer standards.
Review customer manuals, Code of Conduct (COC), Restricted Substances Lists (RSL), testing manuals, and compliance requirements.
Prepare, review, and update SOPs related to laboratory testing, sample submission, test report management, calibration, supplier testing, traceability, and compliance.
Manage and maintain relevant data in the OMS (Order Management System) or applicable digital platforms.
Maintain a centralized and updated database of all third-party test reports.
Support implementation of company sustainability and responsible business initiatives.
