Additional Requirements

2+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping or accounts operations. Retail or consumer brand experience is preferred.
Prior experience in preparing and filing VAT returns is essential.
Hands-on experience with multi-channel reconciliation across cash, card, POS, online platforms, and delivery partners is essential.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks or Tally.
Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to numerical work.
A composed, professional working style, comfortable in a small, high-standards team.
Willingness to work extended hours during month-end, filing deadlines, and audit periods.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Partly completed professional certification is welcome (CA CC, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA). Candidates progressing through these are considered for the higher end of the range.
Experience processing SMB or small business loan documentation is an advantage.

SHAPE Lingerie is an emerging Bangladeshi retail chain, with a growing network of 5 retail outlets in Dhaka. The Company is known for quality and the trust of the women it serves. As part of strengthening its operational foundation, the Company is expanding and formalizing its accounts and finance function.

Key Responsibilities

The Executive, Accounts & Finance is responsible for daily transactional accounting across SHAPE's retail outlets, with a particular focus on monthly VAT filing, audit documentation, and multi-channel reconciliation. Management views the accounts and finance function as a strategic driver of profitable growth, contributing to a shorter cash conversion cycle and improved inventory turnover.

Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and related statutory filings on time and with accuracy.
Support TDS and AIT calculations and related regulatory correspondence.
Maintain daily books of accounts across retail outlets and head office.
Perform daily and weekly multi-channel reconciliation across cash, card, POS, online sales platforms, and delivery partner settlements.
Create and maintain audit-ready documentation throughout the year.
Support banking coordination and prepare documentation for bank and financing purposes.
Support the monthly payment cycle for vendors, salaries, and rent, with proper documentation and approvals.
Assist in monthly closing and preparation of financial reports.
