Dyes & Color Laboratory Executive

Job Context

The selected candidate will be responsible for laboratory activities related to dye, color

matching, shade development, lab dip preparation, recipe development, color

measurement, and technical support. The position requires close coordination with technical,

production, quality, and commercial teams to ensure consistent color quality and cost-effective dyeing solutions.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

1. Color Matching & Shade Development – Perform laboratory color matching, shade

development, and recipe preparation according to required standards.

2. Lab Dip Preparation – Prepare and evaluate lab dips using appropriate dyes and

chemicals to achieve the required shade and color standard.

3. Dye & Chemical Analysis – Test and evaluate dyes, auxiliaries, and chemicals for

quality, performance, compatibility, and suitability for production.

4. Color Measurement – Operate spectro photometers and other color-measuring

instruments to assess shade differences and maintain color consistency.

5. Dyeing Recipe Development – Develop, optimize, and maintain dyeing recipes

considering shade accuracy, reproducibility, chemical consumption, and cost

effectiveness.

6. Shade Approval & Quality Control – Compare laboratory samples with approved

standards and identify shade variation, metamerism, staining, and other color-related

issues.

7. Production Support & Troubleshooting – Provide technical support to production

teams to resolve dyeing, color matching, uneven shade, and other coloration-related

problems.

8. Laboratory Testing & Documentation – Conduct relevant laboratory tests and maintain

accurate records of lab dips, recipes, test results, standards, and approvals.

9. Laboratory Equipment & Chemical Management – Ensure proper operation,

calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and maintain proper

inventory and safe handling of dyes and chemicals.

10. Process Improvement & Cost Control – Support the development of improved,

economical, reproducible, and environmentally responsible dyeing processes while

minimizing dye and chemical wastage.
