Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

We are always looking for new team members who will add to our culture and have a strong passion for impact. In particular, the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will have:

Must-haves:

• 6-10+ years of progressive finance experience, with meaningful time in a rigorous, high-accountability environment - investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or specialty/credit lending - followed by a successful transition into an operating company
• Advanced financial modeling and diligence skills - can build a complex three-statement model or scenario analysis from scratch, under time pressure, without hand-holding
• Hands-on experience automating budgeting and forecasting processes - moving a company off manual, spreadsheet-based cycles, evaluating and selecting FP&A/planning tools, and using AI tools like Claude to streamline modeling and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to teach yourself a new domain quickly - your career shows at least one hard pivot (industry, function, or company stage) where you got up to speed fast and delivered
• An AI-first mindset - active daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate modeling, diligence, and reporting; can cite specific examples of using AI to compress timelines
• Strong business acumen - builds credibility quickly with the leadership team and translates financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Comfort with ambiguity and a complex, evolving business model - you're energized, not unsettled, by a company that is actively redesigning its own revenue mechanics
• Prior experience at a bank, private equity fund, hedge fund, or healthcare/life sciences credit lender, with direct exposure to healthcare, life sciences, or tech-enabled services companies
• Experience supporting fundraising processes (equity or debt) and/or M&A diligence and integration, ideally in a venture-backed or sponsor-backed environment
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics and valuation frameworks (ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV, magic number) and eagerness to extend that fluency to outcomes-based and success-fee revenue models
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), particularly for complex or multi-element contracts
• Experience implementing or scaling financial systems, dashboards, or reporting infrastructure
• CPA, CFA, or MBA
• Prior experience operating in a venture-backed, high-growth environment
