Deputy Manager / Manager - Electrical (FMCG Background)

Hashem Foods Ltd is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager / Manager – Electrical to lead factory electrical operations, maintenance, automation, power systems, and energy management. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FMCG/Food Manufacturing, with expertise in electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, production-line support, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage overall Electrical Engineering, Maintenance & Utility operations of the food manufacturing factory.

• Ensure uninterrupted and reliable operation of substations, transformers, HT/LT panels, generators, MCC, PCC and electrical distribution systems.
• Plan and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdown and production downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in production, processing, filling and packaging machinery and provide timely technical solutions.
• Oversee PLC, VFD, automation, instrumentation and industrial control systems to ensure smooth and reliable production operations.
• Manage electrical support for factory utilities, including generator, boiler, compressor, chiller, HVAC, water treatment and other utility systems.
• Monitor and analyze power and energy consumption and implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Lead the installation, testing, commissioning and electrical integration of new machinery, production lines and engineering projects.
• Prepare annual maintenance budgets, project estimates, BOQs, technical specifications and electrical spare-parts requirements.
• Ensure proper planning, availability and inventory control of critical electrical spare parts and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, fire safety requirements, factory regulations and applicable statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular electrical safety inspections, risk assessments, equipment audits and maintenance reviews.
• Lead, supervise, coach and develop engineers, supervisors, technicians and electricians to improve team capability and performance.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Mechanical, Utility, Quality, Procurement, Projects and other departments to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, safety and timely completion of assigned works.
• Maintain and review maintenance records, breakdown reports, KPI reports, energy consumption reports and other technical documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement, equipment reliability, energy optimization, automation and cost-reduction initiatives across the plant.
• Ensure proper implementation of 5S, GMP, HACCP and food manufacturing-related engineering and safety requirements within the electrical and utility areas.
• Provide technical support to management on electrical projects, capacity expansion, equipment upgrades and long-term engineering improvement plans.
