BOQ Specialist & Cost Analyst (Estimator)

Job Context:

 Area Architect is a reputed and established company in Bangladesh’s Interior & Architecture sector, delivering innovative interior, architectural, and project solutions for residential, commercial, and corporate clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented BOQ Specialist / Quantity Surveyor to manage BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, cost estimation, tendering, billing, cost control, and commercial coordination for interior fit-out and construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare BOQ, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, project budgets, and rate analysis for interior fit-out and construction projects.
• Review interior, architectural and MEP drawings for accurate quantity extraction and costing.
• Prepare and verify running bills, final bills, payment certificates, Work Orders, and Variation Orders (VO).
• Obtain quotations and prepare Comparative Statements (CS) for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, material consumption, budget utilization, and cost variations.
• Conduct site visits, measurements, quantity verification, and work progress assessment.
• Support procurement, vendor/subcontractor evaluation, negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Project/Site Teams, Procurement, Accounts, Clients, Contractors, and Suppliers.
• Maintain accurate BOQ, costing, billing, tender, procurement, and project documentation.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and specifications.
• Perform other estimation, quantity surveying, costing, billing, and commercial responsibilities assigned by management.
• Prepare tender BOQs, technical/financial tender documents, and commercial submissions.
