Bangla Learning Content Designer

This person creates Kahini's learning content — the phrases, the lessons, and the structure that moves learners from beginner to fluent. The priority is producing work that is accurate, well-sequenced, and correct.

The role is content-focused. Most of the time will be writing and refining phrases and lessons. It also includes owning proficiency leveling — deciding what is taught at each stage and in what order — and advising on exercise types and lesson structure where that affects how well the content teaches. It does not involve building the app or managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Write phrases including Bangla, English translation, and transliteration

• Build lessons including questions, answer choices, and plausible wrong answers that teach common mistakes

• Own proficiency leveling: define what each level means, decide what is taught when, and sequence lessons across the curriculum, including how the paths differ for the three learner types

• Maintain a content style guide: register (apni/tumi/tui), tone, transliteration rules, spelling, and format to teach Bangla script

• Advise on exercise types and lesson structure where it affects teaching quality

• Maintain and improve existing content: fix errors, revise based on learner feedback and completion data, and expand the library over time
