Associate Professor (Dept. of Journalism and Media Studies))

(A) The candidate must possess CGPA of minimum 3.00 (in the scale of 4.00) or equivalent both in 4-year B.A. (Hons) and M.A. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch and an M. Phil or equivalent degree from a recognized University/Institution plus 10 (ten) years of professional experience of which 4 (four) years in active teaching in the post of Assistant Professor and/or above with at least 5 (five) publications of which at least 3 (three) in the post of Assistant Professor.

Or, The candidate must possess CGPA of minimum 3.00 (in the scale of 4.00) or equivalent both in 4-year B.A. (Hons) and M.A. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch and a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in relevant discipline from recognized University/Institution plus 7 (seven) years of professional experience of which 3 (three) years in active teaching in the post of Assistant Professor and/or above with at least 5 (five) publications of which at least 3 (three) in the post of Assistant Professor.

Or, The candidate must possess CGPA of minimum 3.00 (in the scale of 4.00) or equivalent both in 4-year B.A. (Hons) and M.A. or equivalent degrees in relevant branch from recognized University/Institution plus at least 10 (ten) years of active teaching of which 6 (six) years in the post of Assistant Professor at University level plus at least 6 (six) publications of which at least 3 (three) in the post of Assistant Professor.

(B) A candidate must possess a GPA of minimum 4.00 (out of 5.00) or 3.00 (out of 4.00) in SSC, HSC/Diploma or equivalent examinations. For teaching posts, 4-year Bachelor degree will be equivalent to 4-year Bachelor (Hons) degree.
