Assistant Manager- Supply Chain

Plan, source, and procure trims & accessories (labels, tags, buttons, zippers, elastic, poly bags, cartons, sewing threads, etc.) as per buyer requirements and production schedules.

Manage end-to-end procurement of machine spare parts (knitting, dyeing, garments, and finishing machinery) to minimize downtime.

Develop, evaluate, and maintain a reliable vendor/supplier database for trims, accessories, and spare parts.

Negotiate pricing, lead time, and payment terms with local and international suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Planning, and Store departments to align procurement timelines with production and shipment schedules.

Ensure timely placement, follow-up, and delivery of purchase orders to avoid production delays.

Monitor inventory levels of trims, accessories, and critical spare parts; maintain optimum stock to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Ensure quality compliance of procured materials as per buyer specifications and approved samples.

Prepare and maintain procurement reports, cost comparisons, vendor performance analysis, and MIS reports for management review.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, buyer compliance requirements (e.g., social/environmental compliance), and relevant import regulations.

Handle LC, import documentation, and coordination with commercial/logistics teams for overseas procurement, where applicable.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options without compromising quality.
