Laboratory & Equipment Operations
- Oversee day-to-day lab operations, managing lab personnel, testing equipment, and chemical/supplies inventory.
- Formulate and implement annual maintenance and calibration plans for testing equipment to ensure full traceability and zero non-conformity.
- Control and maintain physical standards including Pantone, Archroma, and other shade/color books.
- Redesign and adapt existing workflows to align with evolving buyer requirements and global lab testing standards.
Quality Control & Product Safety
- Ensure all finished products meet internal quality benchmarks, buyer requirements, and customer specifications through systematic testing and data analysis.
- Conduct product safety testing and enforce stringent measures to eliminate quality risks.
- Analyze buyer-specific manuals, Restricted Substances Lists (RSL), TDS/MSDS sheets, Certificate of Analysis (COA), and customer protocols to plan test routines accordingly.
- Enforce Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for raw materials by auditing supplier documentation and technical data sheets.
Compliance, Audits & Accreditation
- Drive the lab accreditation process with accredited 3rd-party laboratories and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Enforce strict safety protocols, maintaining compliance with safety regulations and industry benchmarks.
- Act as the custodian for document control across all technical audits (ISO, TQP, OEKO-TEX, Buyer/Customer Audits).
Customer Inquiry & Escalation Management
- Investigate testing-related customer concerns, identify root causes, and execute Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, and Sales & Marketing teams to resolve operational and quality bottlenecks.
Team Leadership & Performance Development
- Prepare periodic QA performance reports for top management.
- Design and execute annual quality training plans for QA personnel and inter-departmental teams.
