M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any other relevant discipline from a reputed university.

3–5 years of relevant professional experience in Production, Research & Development (R&D), Quality Control (QC), paints manufacturing, or chemical manufacturing.

Experience in decorative paints, industrial paints, or specialty coatings will be preferred.
Strong understanding of paint manufacturing and quality-control processes.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Rainbow Paints is looking for an experienced and technically competent Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Production / QC / R&D to support and oversee production, quality control, and research & development activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the paints or chemical manufacturing industry, with strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, laboratory practices, and product development.

Supervise and monitor day-to-day production, QC, and R&D activities.
Ensure production processes are carried out according to approved specifications and quality standards.
Monitor raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure consistent quality.
Conduct and coordinate laboratory testing and quality-control activities.
Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support the development, modification, and improvement of paint and coating formulations.
Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, R&D, Engineering, and other relevant departments.
Ensure compliance with established SOPs, safety requirements, and production procedures.
Monitor production efficiency, product quality, wastage, and process performance.
Maintain proper documentation and prepare reports related to production, QC, and R&D activities.
Assist in troubleshooting production and formulation-related problems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and manufacturing processes.
Ensure laboratory equipment and testing procedures are properly maintained and followed.
Support new product development, product testing, and performance evaluation where required.
