Responsibilities & Context

Salton Pharmaceuticals Limited is looking for a dynamic, energetic, self-motivated and result-oriented professional for the position of ASM or DSM – Sales & Marketing.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Sales & Marketing leadership in achieving business objectives, managing the field sales team, improving territory performance, strengthening product promotion and ensuring effective execution of the company`s sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager/Head of Sales & Marketing in developing and implementing sales strategies.
Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
Monitor territory-wise, area-wise and product-wise sales performance.
Lead, supervise and motivate the assigned sales team to achieve business objectives.
Set sales targets for territories and ensure proper implementation.
Conduct regular field visits with Medical Promotion Officers/field personnel.
Monitor doctors` coverage, call frequency, product detailing and promotional activities.
Ensure effective implementation of company-approved promotional strategies.
Analyze sales reports, territory performance and market trends.
Identify low-performing territories and develop corrective action plans.
Monitor competitors` products, prices, promotional activities and market penetration.
Develop strategies for increasing prescription generation and product demand.
Maintain strong professional relationships with doctors, consultants, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and distributors.
Ensure adequate product availability and effective distribution within assigned territories.
Coordinate with the Supply Chain/Distribution team to minimize stock-outs and improve product availability.
Support successful launching and promotion of new products.
Ensure proper utilization and control of promotional materials, samples and company resources.
Conduct regular sales meetings and review the performance of field personnel.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and reports.
Provide market intelligence and competitor information to senior management.
Participate in recruitment, training, coaching and performance evaluation of sales personnel.
Ensure that sales and promotional activities are conducted ethically and according to company policies and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.
Work closely with Product Management, Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Finance departments.
Take necessary initiatives to improve sales productivity, market coverage and profitability.
