English & Learning Ability
As the role involves working with UK accounting rules, guidance and professional information, candidates must have:
Good reading and written English.
Ability to understand professional and technical information written in English.
Ability to read, retain and apply knowledge to practical situations.
Ability to explain what they have learned in their own words.
Basic conversational and listening skills in English.
Ability to analyse and retain a significant amount of information.
Excellent spoken English is not essential, but candidates must be willing to continuously improve their communication skills.
Technical Skills
Candidates should have:
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
Basic computer literacy.
Ability to work confidently with online systems and cloud-based applications.
Strong accuracy when entering and reviewing financial information.
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar systems will be an advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided.
Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets and Drive, would also be beneficial.
Previous Experience
Previous employment within an accounting firm or previous experience with UK accounting is not essential.
We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate strong potential, accounting aptitude and the ability to learn.
Candidates with relevant accounting experience are also encouraged to apply.
About ISP
ISP is a professional accounting support company based in Dhaka, providing accounting and finance support for UK-based clients and accountancy practices.
Our work covers a wide range of UK accounting and tax services, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, year-end accounts, corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns.
We are looking for talented, motivated individuals who want to develop a long-term career in professional accounting.
We do not select candidates based solely on academic qualifications. We place significant emphasis on learning ability, accounting aptitude, analytical thinking, attention to detail, English comprehension and the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations.
The successful candidate will receive structured training and gradually take responsibility for real accounting work relating to UK-based businesses and individuals.

Working Days: Saturday to Thursday – 6 days per week
Working Hours: Working hours will fall between 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Bangladesh time) to align with business hours. Exact working hours will be confirmed.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accounts from incomplete accounting records.
Record and process sales and purchase invoices in accordance with UK accounting and VAT requirements.
Perform bank reconciliations, including multi-currency accounts.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
Prepare quarterly UK VAT returns.
Assist with and gradually take responsibility for year-end accounts preparation.
Assist with UK corporation tax computations and returns.
Assist with and gradually take responsibility for self-assessment tax returns.
Review accounting records and identify missing or inconsistent information.
Maintain accurate supporting documents and working papers.
Communicate internally regarding outstanding accounting information and client matters.
Conduct accounting and tax-related research.
Handle day-to-day administrative tasks where required.
Assist with ad-hoc assignments and other duties as required.
