Account Executive

We're looking for an Account Executive to be an integral, client-facing part of our account teams — the person who knows the status of every action and keeps the whole programme moving. You'll drive activity across your accounts, own the calendar, WIP and reporting, and build a genuine understanding of your clients, their sectors and the wider market.

It's a role for someone at the start of their PR career who wants to learn fast, get properly stuck in, and grow into a trusted communications professional — all while living BLUE's values as a true brand ambassador.

Account management & reporting

• Know the status of every action — own the calendar of activity, WIP and client reporting, including BLUE's Impact Report template
• Track, collate, analyse and evaluate coverage, and keep account documents correctly named, filed and formatted to BLUE's brand templates
• Develop and sustain client relationships day-to-day, and support the senior team with tactical delivery of PR strategy

Media monitoring & relations

• Monitor client and BLUE sector media, spotting opportunities for clients to comment or feed into messaging and articles of interest
• Issue press releases and pitches to targeted contacts, following up with key media by phone and email
• Own and maintain BLUE's core media lists, and build journalist relationships through regular contact

Writing & content

• Draft press releases and shorter-form content such as blogs and editorial, backed by research and interviews
• Draft first-draft speaker abstracts and media briefs
• Maintain client social media channels on social media channels and proofread materials with a close eye for detail

Social media & culture

• Monitor client and competitor social channels, and support larger social content projects alongside BLUE's digital team
• Live by and promote BLUE's brand values, contribute content for BLUE's own LinkedIn, website and socials, and support with general administration as needed
• Attend external networking events for your own development and to promote the BLUE brand, spotting commercial opportunities as you go
