What it covers
A monthly stipend and tuition support for full-time research students, with the NTU Research Scholarship and the more competitive NTU President's Graduate Scholarship among the schemes offered.
Who can apply
Open to full-time research master's and PhD applicants of any nationality, including Bangladesh. The school you apply to decides both admission and funding.
How to apply
- Choose the school and the research group you want to join.
- Apply for the research programme through NTU's graduate admissions system.
- Ask to be considered for a research scholarship within the same application.
- Strong candidates may be put forward for the President's Graduate Scholarship.

- Research proposal or statement
- Two academic references
- CV
- English language test
- GRE where the school asks for it
Tips from successful applicants
- Write to a prospective supervisor before the round opens; schools rarely fund an applicant nobody has spoken to.
- The President's Graduate Scholarship is nominated, not applied for — the ordinary application is the route in.
- Terms vary by school, so read the page for your school as well as the central one.
