Who can apply
Bangladeshi citizens under the stated age limit with a strong academic record. Two routes: embassy recommendation (through the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka) and university recommendation (through a Japanese university).
How to apply
- Apply through the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka when the annual call opens, or through a Japanese university that nominates you.
- Sit the embassy's written examinations in your subject and in English or Japanese.
- Attend an interview if you pass the written stage.
- Obtain a letter of acceptance from a Japanese university as a research student or degree student.
